The Songs of Love Foundation is happy to announce a One Million Dollar Challenge Grant from the Leon and Toby Cooperman Family Foundation! Mr. Cooperman, is founder of Omega Advisors which he founded in 1991. Going forward, every dollar we receive will be matched up to 250,000 each year for 4 years! Is is more crucial than ever that we continue to receive support so we can receive the matching funds.

Victoria Sidorski and Danielle Dugan attended the check presentation.  Victoria and Danielle were both battling cancer when they were just seven years old, 14 years ago. They saw each other at Leon Cooperman’s office and realized they had been hospital roommates! They are both doing great today! They are the same age and just graduated college on the same day! Victoria’s Mom found their childhood pictures. See them pictured then and now! Bob McGrath of Sesame Street was also present along with Songs of Love staff, board and songwriters! The Songs of Love Foundation owes a tremendous debt of gratitude to Leon and Toby Cooperman. Because of these ‘Angels of Love’ we will be able to expand our outreach to an additional 1000 children a year for the next 4 years! THANK YOU Lee and Toby!

Before the check presentation Leon Cooperman paid a visit to the Songs of Love office and he was able to participate in the recording of a ’song of love’ for 6-year-old leukemia patient Chloe Mitchell. See video of presentation below.
